Let us introduce ourselves, we are Claire and Davide and our adventure in Ustica began almost by chance,as we were two young professionals looking for a diving centre to work in. A centre that was professional, well-organised, dedicated to customer care and respect for the environment, but also friendly, fun and respectful of its staff.

We found all this in Orca Diving Ustica, a fantastic diving centre headed at the time by Cristina. Since 2016 and 2018 respectively, we have worked with her to make this wonderful reality grow and improve. In 2021 Cristina decided to pass on the torch and we did not hesitate to pick it up to achieve our dream of owning a diving centre in Sicily and Ustica, the undisputed diving capital of the Mediterranean Sea!

Our aim is to continue improving an already winning formula, using our experience accumulated over the years to offer even more beautiful dives, increasingly impeccable organization and lots and lots of fun, all in maximum safety!

Orca Diving Ustica | Immersioni e corsi PADI a Ustica Sicilia

Originally from Normandy, I have always been in contact with the sea and water in general and started scuba diving quite naturally as a teenager. I put this passion aside for a few years when I continued my Master's degree and started to work in human resources management in Canada and then in Australia.  It was in Australia that the opportunity arose for me to start diving again and to obtain my Divemaster. I grabbed the opportunity and decided to take what I called "a little break in my career".

I landed by chance in Ustica (Sicily) with my backpack in the summer of 2016 and, even though I didn't speak a word of Italian, I was immediately charmed by the island, its dives, its people and Orca Diving Ustica for which I started working. 7 years later and as many summers spent in Ustica, I must admit that "this little break" has simply become my real life.

Being born in a small town of Sicily on the Palermo coast, I was lucky enough to experience the sea from an early age. All this led me to love the sea so much and I soon started free diving, driven by the curiosity to explore and learn what lies beneath the surface of the sea.

After my first scuba diving experience in 2012, I soon understood that scuba diving was my future, and as early as 2013 I began my first professional experience. In 2014 I became a scuba diving instructor and then did the cross-over to become a PADI instructor in 2017.

My first work experience in Ustica was in 2016, and since then I have continued to deepen my knowledge of its fabulous seabed, of which I am beginning to get to know a lot, knowing that it still has many secrets that I hope to unveil, so that one day I can reveal them to you!

Passionate about marine life (and animals in general), it is perfectly natural that Anthony has made scuba diving his profession! After travelling in Asia, he joined our instructor team in Ustica 4 years ago. Attentive and patient, he will be happy to share his passion in English, French and soon in Italian.

Steven has spent the last three years travelling in Europe, South America, South East Asia and New Zealand where he discovered his passion for diving and the underwater world. After a year as a divemaster in Ustica and in Djibouti, he successfully passed his instructor course and is now back for a second season with Orca diving Ustica. Curious and passionate, he will be happy to discuss with you in French, English and Spanish.

The ocean filled Agnese's heart and gave her happiness. After travelling in Indonesia she realised what her goals and dreams were, confirming her passion for marine life, and in Italy she continued her path by studying Marine Biology. Determined, patient, sensitive and always ready for new experiences, she is now part of the Orca Diving Ustica team.

A traveller at heart, it was while travelling around the world that he discovered the world of scuba diving. He made his first bubbles in Bali, where he fell in love with marine life. After that, everything moved quickly and he soon became an instructor in Mexico. Careful and concerned for the well-being of his divers, it is with great pleasure that he will share with you his passion for diving in Ustica for the second year in a row.

Virgile has always been fascinated by the sea and the underwater world. That was why he decided to make his passion his profession as a commercial diver, lifeguard and Divemaster. For the past three years, he had the opportunity to work in Greece, on the island of Amorgos, before joining our team this year at Orca Diving Ustica. His greatest wish is to invite you to discover the fascinating world of diving in all its beauty and its diversity.

After exploring the sea by freediving and snorkelling for several summers, Alessio made his first scuba diving experience in 2022 with Orca Diving Ustica.  A young marine fauna enthusiast with dreams of entering the faculty of marine biology, he will dedicate this season to becoming a professional diver. A lover of the sea, he will share his passion in Italian or English!

After years of being THE boss, she decided to pass the torch but she'll never be too far from the diving center and will happily welcome you at your arrival, fill you with cookies and, above all, maybe make you drink... her beloved prosecco!
